The construction of Limassol Marina is progressing rapidly, with everything on track to be welcoming yachts in October 2012. This new marina on the south coast of Cyprus is set to transform the local waterfront with sophisticated shops, restaurants, bars and luxury properties.The main dredging works have been completed, reclamation to form the western headland is underway and construction of the eastern breakwater and seawalls along the northern edge of the marina basin have begun.
The marina will accommodate some 650 yachts from 8m to 100m, and each berth will have its own supply of fresh water and electricity, high-speed internet, IP TV and video on demand. Limassol will be the perfect base for cruising the harbours and bays of Cyprus, or venturing further afield in the eastern Mediterranean.
Apartments and villas for sale
In 2010 the Nereids residences were released and initial sales and interest have been strong. New to the market are the spectacular Peninsula Villas, with either a marina-facing aspect and attached berth, or uninterrupted sea views over a beautiful sandy beach.
Berth availability
Limassol Marina has also opened a waiting list for boat owners who just want to enjoy the first class yachting facilities. The final berth layout and the tariff for 2012/13 will be confirmed by summer 2011, and annual berths will then be made available with priority going to those on the waiting list.
Property owners will benefit from priority in the choice of marina berths, with each of the apartments guaranteeing a three-year rolling berth contract, and the marina-side villas coming complete with their own attached berth on a 90 year licence.
